mobile dynamics in richmond hill, ont. has a good course, and it's divided into sections so you can pick and choose your specialty. they also offer TWICE A YEAR, a condensed on-the-road course here in western canada. You don't learn everything, but you get a good dose of it.(call or email them for specifics) there is also a scool down here somewhere, but I can't remember the name. they are however, twice as expensive, and is strung out on different days, over 6 weeks, rather than the 21 day program that M.D. puts on in ontario. I will try to look thru my paperwork here to try to find you the name of the local school, but IMO, your best bet is to find out when M.D.'s western tour is.

Stick to a couple good forums and go to some local shows and ask questions.
yeah ok.......... so your saying that all youn need to know is on the computer ?
geez this is why most of the kids installing on there own cars make such a mess, well this may be my own opion the best way to learn is to work with someone who is skilled in the field. And going back to the main focus is this person is looking at hoocking up subs and stuff ? as a shop owner i gert drivin nuts by the kids asuming thats all we do all day, it would be nice if there was a bit of research done before they come in and think there good enough to work there. sorry about the rant but i had this retarded kid come in to the shop today thinking there was nothing to the industry and its all lollypops and huge systems and hes install his own cd player ............ yeah anyhoo im done have a good night

Infact ive heard a lot of shop owners not hiring mobile dynamics graduates because the shop owners want them taught their way...not re-teach them
and have you seen the "work" that most of these kids try to do ? this person here claerly has no clue on the industry. you have to have some basic knowledge on install you can just expect ro learn everything off the net.

I learned how to weld by reading a book... I can't lay down a bead to save my life.

Learning a hands on trade is best done with your hands on.

As has been suggested, wait for the western tour and book yourself in, get a job at a local reputable shop or time for a trip.

Mobile dynamics out east, and theres one place down in phoenix and I think, one on L.a/San diego area.
If you decide to travel for your learning, go to San diego... so much nicer than eastern canada, and hell... its southern cali. Tijuana is about a 30 minute bus ride away, for graduation celebrations
