I would have to agree with Jordy, Its a business that was open to public(well at least with returns I believe) should be aired out a lil!! Did anyone ever find out where they went to? Who is taking the slack up on there let down?

no I don't think this should be aired in public for all parties involved( distributor/dealer/consumer/competitor )

I have dealt with mods in the past and they were a very dealer friendly distribution center but unless you turn a profit you can not continue to serve the dealers and in turn your consumers.
The markets pretty dicey right now there will be a lot of changes in the next 2 or 3 years I suspect.

Lots of company’s getting bought up and resized.

So you're saying that any thread about a distributor that a regular member brings up sould automatically be brought to the void?

is this like the distributor wall of silence ?

In the end, the consumer pays YOUR way, why should they be cut out of the loop, especially when they bring it up??

Admincca, what kind of profit margins do you have? Where is your server located? Who does your hosting? Who works on your servers? What networks are you on? Who's your upstream provider? What kind of backups do you have?

you know what, i wrote a beautiful response, but i thought before i share my books and love, you should at least answer this...

Why shouldn't the consumer be allowed to know what happened to a distributor ?

Oh, and if you wish, i will gladly start discussing mark up in the distribution game vs my forum.
lets post dist prices lists... you think i'm really that affected ?

lets discuss it. new thread. i am game.. dealer vs dist vs forum guy.

Not trying to stir , but lets touch back down to reality. A distributor is not any better than the consumer.

I never asked this to be put in the void.
I had a nice long reply but it comes down to simply with out the support of the consumer and shopping north of the border this will continue. Its a direct example of what people like rob( forbidden ) has been saying will happen if people continue to shop ebay and the likes.

No one pays for my way thank you, I am responsible to the manufacturer/distributors, The fact that I visit dealers and promote our line with shows ect is my testament that I support the 12V community. I do all this out of pocket as it is not all about dollars and (sense ) to all of us.

In short Modz tried there best to support their dealers and in turn the consumers in every way possible but was unable to in this market. People will HAVE to shop south of the border and incur more and more of the costs as this continues.

The fact the this community has run out 75% of the industry members and people in the know keeps everyone here from enjoying the information that they were once privy to, There is no disrespect intended to the ones that are still here but it seems you only want info when you demand it.

The void is dead and has been for a very long time. Jordy man if you need any further info please contact me directly I’d be happy to shed any light on this that I can but other then what’s been said here today there is very little known.

I had a nice response written also but my wireless just the bed.

Customers certainly should get an explanation, but thats about it. Not talk about pricing, not talk about how their dealers should get the product, none of that. They should get an explanation of what happened, why, and what will happen to the product they purchased if there is another problem.

That's my point.

Again, i'm not trying to start , just put some perspective.

The void is pointless to discuss this stuff in - there are non-industry members who have access to it. There are other private forums for that kind of thing.

Why would we start talking about our costs vs yours? Give me a ****ing break. I specifically stated in my post that my intent was to give perspective, not start an actual discussion about your $100/month dedicated server or whatever reseller you use for TORONTOSTREETRACING.COM as shows up in the whois for the domain.
