Where in the GTA could you host a big indoor car show?
not sure if anyone mentioned it but have you looked at the international centre out near the airport? i think its at derry and airport road if i'm not mistaken. not sure how much it would cost but i did security there once and i know its huge and if i remember right there are ramps to drive cars in, i think thats how most people were unloading stuff for that show, and its heated. i think the only issue might be the support posts so you would need to warn everyone to be careful

any more places you guys can think of? anything in scarborough or missssuaga maybe? or maybe uptown like north york or even york region?
there is a warehouse place right at birchmount and lawrence, actually one light west at lawrence and underwriters. its ground level so i dont see a problem with cars getting in and if i remember right its pretty big. i think like travelling vendors and trade shows rent it out. i remember when i went it was huge clothing sale, and then two weeks later they left and a matress show came in. also in the laird and eglinton, i think laird and wicksteed to exact, which is east york, maybe ten minutes from the science centre, there is another warehouse type of place that had vendors selling basically anything and everything you could want to buy. i don't think they're there anymore so my guess is its empty, but i think you would need a ramp to get cars in. and they were pretty big too. theres a scarborough location and east york or "midtown" location as the saturn dealership calls it. if its at one of these places i'm there for sure Yuli, since i live in east york and work in scarborough lol

I suspect Yuli had best be sitting down when he enquires about cost. You also have to use thier people / crew iirc.
As another poster mentioned, the liability insurance can be insanely expensive.
Keep in mind you may have to drain fuel from tanks, oil from engines, etc. Read the fine print.
There is money to be made, but you can do everything right and still get slaughtered by a weekend snowstorm that keeps people off the roads. Sure, the hardore base will come (for whatever he is planning) but the walk up is important too.
Dont forget your advertising budget. Advertising is essential because it works.
Best of luck man.
John
well i know there are different wings but i was doing overnight security and there were a lot of booths so i was paying more attention to not crashing into them with the provided mode of transport...a 10 speed with a low front tire lol. plus it was dark so i had to be extra careful since i didn't have a helmet. that being said i do believe you can hire outside security lol
Wasnt trying to argue with you
What I was alluding to was the restaurant and hospitality aspect of it because I spent quite a bit of time talking to a hot chick who worked there (as I was drinking beer).

No argument from me John, just trying to share a laugh. Yuli, I'm not sure if there is a direct contact for that place in East York, but your best bet I would assume is to call the Leaside Business Park Association. 416 423 1576 is the number for the administrative office there, and since they run the area they should be able to help you out. I don't know exactly what the building is called now, I just know it's on Wicksteed Avenue, and I think it used to be called the Colgate-Palmolive warehouse. Good luck dude.
