this is straight from the rule book:

Street Max 1-2 / Maximum of 2 amps – 4 Conductors Total between amp rack and sub enclosure.
seems to be exactly what Bydnik has.

(a maximum of four electrical conductors are used) instead of all 8)
That's basically what dBDrag did.. </font>
thats why i said like in db drag

Rules are found on www.soundoff.org. I'm using the basic SQ rules, but Advanced will be used at the Calgary show. The entry is $20 for DB Drag and $40 for both events, Keep in mind that I'm running USAC SPL formet as well. For those people who want to qualify for USAC finals. Your entry fee includes a USAC t-shirt, SQ test cd and the DB Drag cd...smokin' deal...

Show time is a week away.
What's the scoop? Are we going by what it says in the actual dB Drag rule book. (Quads are allowed in SS1-2)
Or what's going on?

PS - Music selection, does it have to be store bought, or can it be burnt test tones?

- Bidnyk, sorry for the delay.... I've been quite busy. Man, I never thought my pre-law courses would pay off!

- I e-mailed Wayne Harris for clarification and he responded that it is okay to put the Quad coil in Super Street 1-2 provided the woofer is wired as a DVC -- so come early (by 10am) and show me your wiring.

- The reason why they are trying to limit Quad coils is because they are not widely available to average consumers... the concept being that you should be able to get all the gear you need at any specialty 12 volt retailer.

- You are allowed to use any CD you want. However, for Multi-point events you must use the Official DB Drag CD -- Visions will have them on hand at the show)

- As I said earlier, I will apply the Official rules and classes as closely as possible -- please PM or email specific questions at mike@korbon.com if you require a speedy response (I only visit this board when I have spare time).

- All the rules are posted at www.dbdragracing.com -- read carefully

most of the rules are actually carved in stone. or at least written in blood. Mike will have good control off the show and is a seasoned judge. especially when it comes to whining competitors. he should be able to make it a god show

Hey guys, I am in the car dept. in surrey, here's the lowdown:

Date: Sunday, May 9th
Time: show starts at 12PM - 5PM
Location: Visions Electronics, Surrey, 8062 King George Highway
Contact info: Paul @ 604-502-8820

Reg fees: $20 for DB Drag, $40 for DB Drag & USACi

There will be giveaways, and trophies as well this year. I would reccomend pre registering, save yourself some time as we expect a large turnout for this event. I am gonna be there helping everyone out too, including tuning the systems, which we will be doing before the show starts. I'd reccomend being there at 10 AM. The USAC SQ event should be interesting this year! Make sure you come check it out!
