While I enjoyed reading Jordy's "verbal bashing" .... I too think, the so many posts thing, just doesn't work well. There are some people who actually follow it and make legitimate posts or threads.

KEEP IN MIND GUYS! They just can't see our sigs (IMG), pictures, and I think Icons... thats all. (Please correct me if I'm wrong admins/mods. ) SO it's not really that big a deal.

Piggie actually started 4 or 5 pointless threads that morning and posted some dumb stuff on others just to build them. There's no reason for it? He/she could have started this one thread alone and likely got enough responses that he/she could have built their own numbers legitimately. I was up early that morning and read all their crap. I'm glad Jordy did something about it.

 

Hey haven't been on in a while. But is this 10 post thing new. I get that the mods need to control the pore posts.
But have we fallen so low that we can't type propper words any more like we need to start talking in X-box lingo.

The 10 posts thign is mostly for access to the classifieds.

This helps cut down on noobs who want to come here and just use the board to buy/sell stuff.

Become a member of the comunity and it's not a problem.

I've even seen some people that I KNOW have posted 10 times in about 5 minutes in order to get their count up but at least their posts were somewhat useful. This I'll ignore and think that you're actually making an effort..

but to pull random threads and just reply "lol" or "lalalalla" ...that will get you canned. It's insulting to me (thinking I'm not smart enough to figure out what you're doing) and also insulting to the other users of the board who have actually gotten their post count legitimately.

Great post. LOL jk/jk It does make sense from a high level point of view. Most forum dwellers may not see the random posts that people make, put from an admin point of view, it needs to be kept in check to maintain a constructive and positive read for visitors or new members. It's 10x harder to build and maintain a good reputation than it is to ruin it
