what they want is proof of citizenship.... what will work...a CANADIAN BIRTH CERTIFICATE, CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP, or CANADIAN PASSPORT!!!
they as you for ID then what country you are a citizen of... then they ask where you were born...yes Im a freakin immigrant and a I answered POLAND SIR ... do you have proof of citizenship? I checked my walet for my card made 20 years ago with picture of me as a 12 yr old(wouldnt recognize me anyways) could find it so he said please pull over to your left he said and have a seat in the office..GAME OVER!!! have a nice trip to Kitchener and besides that I had serious ******** working with me ..I was not even allowed to step outside to talk on the phone, Cecco called me ... they forced me to shut off the phone without answering..I had to beg them 1/2 hour later so I could be escorted outside to make a phone call so Cecco wouldnt keep waiting for me... to make a long-er story short... AMERICANS SUCK! and I had a nice long drive through the country

same thing happend to us going to Darien lake.
I guess there was a beef ban.
they ended up thowing out all our food.
All we had in the way of meat was eggs and pork.
The fat bitch at the border was pissing me off.
She kept saying "Why dont you come here and buy out meat .. where you know its safe"

Sorry to hear about your border luck. I will have to agree that border people suck.
Another hint:
Don't try crossing with a bright red car with a driver with bright red hair...and a bright green car with a driver with bright green hair. Also one of those drivers being on probation with special grants from their probation officer. Not fun. But we did slide through after some long debates and a rather unpleasant border lady who had cold hands
