World Finals in Canada?
LOL at this thread!
Finals in Canada.
Finals would look the same as any other show that is held here. 1 really loud guy in each class and 2-3 others to half fill brackets. Oh and our plethora of Extreme vehicles that would draw the crowds.

Now that everyone has had a good laugh...
What constructive feedback can people give to suggest or show what it would take to get a Finals in Canada down the road?
Mentioned...
Yuli ... expanding further throughout Ontario for shows and competitors.
Chris C ... extreme vehicles and more than one loud person per class.
Chris B ... support from judges, dbdrag, sponsors (stores, manufacturers, distributers, etc) and most importantly competitors.
What else?

well my 2c worth... I think it could happen but it would not be by WH standards it would be by our standards as basically like Yuli said a n Eastern and Western Canada Finals... I for one and can say and atleast 3 other competitors will never make finals in the US since we're not allowed across. but would gladly come out to a canadian finals and would actually make the effort to get loud if the opportunity was there to be labelled Canada's loudest, I believe that goes for a few others.
Pete,
A country finals would be a great idea.
as mention previously in this thread many countries have their own National Finals however it's usually in one place where everyone travels.. not sure if the greedy Canadian would do that since everyone wants it either in the east coast or west coast..
To answer AMP's question about what else.. in all reality it WONT happen here.
Canada having one of the World Finals locations is not going to happen realistically.
No amount of comments and ideas will make it happen. Logictically it's not practical and many other things going against it also (they've already been mentioned)
It's not about being pesamistic.. it's about being realistic...

George we cant have 1 finals location for canadiand as they do in europe b/c most european countries are the size of a single canadian province. so for them to drive thru the whole country would take max of 10 hours. for us, it would take 3-4 days.
you're correct on that Yuli...
Welp... I've been away all week on business... but here's my opinion on this... (if you even care)
I would love to see a Canadian WF's location, or two, but the way things sit right now it just isn't going to happen.
The number of people who are on here DAILY telling others that they had better be out to support shows and then puss out on anything that is more than an hr away from their house is ridiculous.
The fact that some of these same people who never even leave their own section of the province are on here saying OTHERS need to get off their butts and go to shows is just funny. (I'm not naming names... but calling out people for not traveling to shows when you've never left the southern ontario area is weak)
The fact that I was the ONLY person from Ontario at the 2x last weekend goes to show that people only want to compete in their own back yard - "forget it, the shows will come to me". Not to mention that there were 5 other people from my team there just to support me for this 1 day show! (some even paid the $15 admission to enter!)
Being relatively loud, winning comps in your own back yard and getting enough points to finals just because there are shows near you doesn't mean you're dedicated in my opinion. It just means you have a hobby that's convenient for you to compete in. (remember you guys busting my ***** a while ago about going to the 3x at SVR?)
Until we get more people that are SERIOUS about competing there's no reason for a Canadian finals.
I'm sorry if this offends anyone... but that's just the way I sees it...
