Arrow WTB stuff and install Edmonton or s'toon

Hi there. I'm looking to spice up my 05 Mustang GT a little bit here befor spring but im looking for an installer among other things.

So far I've got my eye on a in dash dvd player the Apline IVA-W505 with the nav unit Alpine NVE-P1. And with all that also the module for the sirius sat. KCA-SC100

I have on order from ebay the little brake bypass for it the Pac TR-7 Alpine Video Bypass and im currently waiting on that to come in.

I'm looking for a nice clean install of everything this time round. Unfortunatly with my last car i relied on the yahoos at visions to do this and they mutilated my wiring behing the deck. So this time I've done a little research and figured on that easy wiring harness PAC C2R-FRD1 with a rca filer SNI-1

Now its been years since I've done installation work myself, and although i know i can haggle some of the box stores down with thier goods, and i am confident i can get the job done myself however, I'm looking at a few other options on top of all this mess.

On top of searching for a quote for the above items and an installation, i am also considering getting a car alarm at the same time, aswell as considering my options for other stereo equipment, like a amp, subs, ect.. nothing terribly extreme but still way better then factory... So im guessing sound dampening aswell to quiet the rattles.

So far I've found some older posts that suggested a guy named Ray at FX audio.. hell even got a number off that too 780-422-6666. however i was unable to get a hold of anyone there.. if that place even is still running..

So, im searching for that quality installer and quotes, perferably in the Edmonton area, however Saskatoon is possible aswel as I'm in Lloydminster.

Sorry for the wall of text.

Garrett.

FX for the win. They have great installers, and they are also Alpine dealers so you might want to try and get a package deal including install.

Thanks guys for all the input. Ill hunt down those shops and contacts to get a better idea of everything here now thanks.

Oh and i actually knew about audio express in S'toon and thought about them. however many years ago, when i was just 16, one of their guys suckered me into an amp and sub combo swearing up n down it could run 1ohm stable. day after when i discovered it couldn't they wouldn't deal with a return or anything, even though i was only after an exchange of some sort, and even after i dropped a roll on an entire system there. They gave me the cold shoulder... so.. I'd be hesitant on going back there for sure, and go figure, this time I'm wanting a ton more then before.

Thanks again guys, i truly appreciate it.

I grew up in Lloyd. I would think Gene at Sound Obssessions would be able to do a nice job for you. Well, he's the owner (last I knew) so he himself wouldn't be doing it but they used to do good work.

Nnoodles,

If your still looking for an installer and some prices feel free to come by Xtreme auto in lloyd on monday. We are just starting into car audio since i have just moved to Lloyd and started working for them.

As far as my experience iv been installing for 4 years and am silver mecp certified. Befor moving to Lloyd I was the install manager at Jb's Power Centre West in Edmonton.

We do not carry alpine at this time tho as for right now we are dealing with Kenwood and Boston Acoustics but im sure that we can source something out for you, or give you some more info on our products that you might have missed.

Thanks,
Dan.

Ya goto gene @ SOB but he doesnt have much to do with anything other than paperwork. they do nice work but charge out the assssssssssssssssssss. he is in it only for the money now. been along time since anybody got a good deal there, even me being his #1 customer since day one........ But they do know there stuff and I guess experance comes at a price! I would suggest not to got anywhere else intown as no one know anything but how to install a straight forward peice of equip. dont know about Extreme though could be there best compititon. and they sell powermaster and they would be new in town as far as car audio goes...
