04 Benz Alarm Wiring

Ok, it's done!

In the left rear quarter there is a fuse panel. Most of it is in there.
Drivers door brown/grey
Passengers door brown/blue
Hood brown/red
Hatch brown/yellow
Hatch Release Green/yellow
Parking Lights Black/white & black/green

Main power and ignition can be obtained from the harness that comes from the top of the dash down along the drivers side.
Constant power is red/green and ignition is pink/red

Door locks are not possible at this time. I ran out of time.

Door locks are not possible at this time. They are using some form of fibre optics to deal with that and I ran out of time.

I have seen fiber optic networks in semi trucks, and a few auto's for dash light purposes, but never as an integrated part of the door locks?
are you sure you're not mistaken?

Oh, I'm very positive. Mercedes has always held their own when it comes to door locks.
I have the bypass systems that you are thinking of and they won't do any European vehicles.

Really!!!

now im not to familler with fiber-optics are anything like this, but is there some type of spilter on the market yet that you could just tap into the wire's and (then use a relay like on regular cars to hook up your door locks) from the new wires on the alarm.

psst. the door locks aren't fiber optic... they can be wired to the alarm, you might need some relays, and or diodes, but it can be done.

So, if they can be done, why hasn't anyone done them yet? If you look at the way that the new European cars turn on their factory amplifiers, you'll see what I mean about fibre optics.

I put 12 hours of experienced labour into that car. Do you honestly think that I didn't try to incorporate some type of typical device into that thing?

I went to the place where I heard relays clicking just to find that they have NOTHING to do with the door locks. I did integrate Hatch release which isn't on the factory fob/key, but I couldn't get the locks.

Now, it's your turn to find the rest! Good luck!

I understand that MB's can be difficult to work on, I have done a few, not that model, but a few. What I am getting at is that their has to be some mechanical locking system in there. the door's aren't locking, and unlocking with pulses of light.. The signal might be sent through a fiber network in the car, but I can only assume that there is a mechanical electric lock in the door.

that being said I can't find any wiring diagrams for the car either, but I did find threads over at MB world, (another forum) talking about aftermarket security systems for the C320, and they said nothing about fiber optic door locks....
