Viper - Viper 5901 Responder LC3 SuperCode SST 2-Way Security and Remote Start System

But I am biased ...but really it works very well and has great security options available.

I've heard lots of good things about the compustar pro and decided to buy one myself. I'll be installing it this week if I have time and I'll let you know how it is.

The Viper 5901 and the Compustar pro are both great units, can really go wrong with either one.

Thumbs up Compustar Pro Installation

FX Audio in Spruce Grove is excellent. Ask for Wai Lin. He can install practically anything related to car electronics.
Very soon, LL Firsttech is offering a GPS system add-on for Compustar Pro units. A subscription is required, but your installer at FX can get you fixed up. Check out the Compustar website for more information.

After doing all my research and installing a Viper VX791 a couple of weeks ago, I decided to go with a Compustar Pro.

The main things that put me over the top was the range, fob battery life, cost of replacement fob and a few other creature comforts that he viper doesn't have.

The 791XV is a 2 year old model .... the Viper 5901 is a much improved model with cool features.

I definately prefer installing Compustars, Specially with the blade module bypasses, makes for much cleaner simpler installations.

The Vipers are good as well, can't say anything bad about them other than they are a little wonky to install, you really have to have familiarity with them, or carefully read the install manuals.

Both Compustar Pro, and Vipers you need the respective programmers for though.
