bulldog alarms/installation

Anyone ever use them that can give me some insight to the quality level?
I bought model # 6002 pro series today at xs cargo for 28 bucks lol, bargain basement.
But from my knowledge of xs cargo they sell higher priced stuff for really cheap due to it being last years or befores model.

I will try the install myself, i have all the info i need on my vehicle wiring, and install guide, This however is my first alarm install, anything i should pay more attention to? any tips are welcomed.

Ive installesmany decks, multiple amps, wiring etc and consider myself pretty good at it so im confident i can do the alarm accident free lol.

So any info / tips anyone may have let them rip,all welcome

stay away thats all

And don't believe anyone that tells you all the relays in alarm/RS brains are the same.......

The things i've fixed because people get fooled by a $20 price tag

Also how many companys give you a video tape and t-taps and tell you how to install a RS.LOL

its in!

Just got done installing. It works ok so far power locks work alarm works etc, only problem is when i set the alarm right after closing the door the dome light stays on longer than the alarm waits to arm, (sets the alarm off) if i wait a minute after closing the doors its fine.
Is there something i could do to fix that?

Their should be a setting the programing guide if not than you will have to go directly to the door pins.

your going to have to get your self some 1a 50v diodes to isolate the dome light wire from feeding back into the alarm brain.

Also you should always do your door pins as they might try and feed back to the alarm brain and cause false alarms.

you can buy a pack of lets say 20 for 99c on ebay or they are 5.50 in electrical shops for 20(not the source) they want way to much money.

BTW what type of car is this, because your going to have to figure out what type of door pins you have

Its a 96 sunfire gt, i hooked the alarm to the dorr "triggers" on bothe the driver side and passenger side, i didnt have a diode handy today to isolate the two, i hooked them up anyways, the only dowside i see so far is the "key in ign" reminder when pass door is opened.

I will check the manual as suggested for a programming change.

Amen. We'd sooner install some no-name Ebay brand than Bulldog.
It may work now but don't count on it to last you.
