ok so i got a 2-way compustar remote starter for xmas (2w8000fm-s) and was wondering if i can add on the alarm module later on down the road. Ive searched and searched but have found no answers. Any help would be great

 

Nopers. Find out where it was purchased and see if they will trade onto the AS version or if they stock the upper end Compustar Pro line. The brain units between the remote start and the alarm remote start are totally different.

You can upgrade the Compustar models in remote capabilities (1-way to 2-way, AM/SH to FM) but not in RS/Alarm functionality.

 

Thank for the help. I exchanged it for alarm/starter combo last night for 20$ cheaper then just the starter. Gotta love boxing day sales
