LF Custom Viper battery charger ideas

My Viper 7756V remote had a thermal event during its last charge. Got extremely hot, and the battery would not hold a charge for more than 10-15 min once unplugged.

Got a new battery and installed. It worked, but also would not charge and died off in a couple weeks. When I plug it in, it reads 'Full' immediately but dies a few minutes after unplugged.

Looks like the charger electronics were toasted.

Anyone have any ideas for a custom battery charger? It lasts a couple months, I would be willing to take it out and charge it that often. The main problem will be the tiny pin size. Battery is 3.7V 100mAh, model JFC302223. Lithium polymer

Edit: Remote is 3 months out of warranty (1 yr)

Found a low-current LiPo charger from Adafruit, going to give that a try.
