lookin for remote starter under $350 installed for xmas
#1
hey there, lookin for a remote starter (maybe alarm combo) for an xmas present here. Limit is about $350 max installed. Wondering what sort of options you people may be able to give me. (it's going in a 95 tahoe automatic)-prices and models???
also if you know generally what can i expect to pay for install? i do realize that each thing you add on like remote locks and trunk release etc all is extra, but give me some hints.
if it makes any difference i'm in edmonton alberta.

You can pick up the entry level Viper 130 installed in the Tahoe for about $275 Installed with keyless entry.
There is others to chose from as well. You should be able to get into a Autostart combo unit for around the $350 range.

i would give the guy's at JB's Mayfield a try. i dealt alot there and they are great guys. their installs are top notch as well. they carry astrostart, which i feel is far superior, in range and functions. when a buddy of mine was an installer there, they let me install my astrostart in their shop. they are very staight foward to install, and mine has been in my truck since 1999, and never let me down once.

i know i'm going to plug the future shop here, but why not? check out the Avital 3200, it usually goes for $249 installed, but it will/ or already has dropped in your local store to $199 installed. awesome starter it has 2 remotes and a long range ant. this is a step up from the Viper 130 someone recommended earlier. locks is a $50 option. coast to coast lifetime warranty on the installation too..sorry noboby can top that.

Avital 3200 and Viper 130 are very similar, the Avital does have a limited lifetime warranty. An XHF antenna is a $50 option and then both starters are pretty much equal. Only problem is that I am sure all the FS's in Edmonton will probably be sold out of them by now, I know we haven't had one in for over a month.
I wouldn't buy either though, two way is the way to go.
