remote starts

looking for just a basic one- no door locks or starter cut. Are the bulldog ones from Walmart ok? Any ideas of brands would be most helpful.

cheers

My dad and my brother both got the bulldog starters. They work well for the money. Not the best range but you get what you pay for.

xs cargo

hey xs cargo has a autopage one for 29.99+ tax......
the shop that i work for sells autopage and they are very installer friendly.. and also very easy to program the remote to the brain and all the other features.....
the one xs cargo in whitby (25min east of GTA) has tons of them...
i am thinking about getting a few for friends and family for xmas....
i think it has a 1000foot range .

yea it does your door locks too if you have power locks...
keep in mind that if you have a 1998 or newer car you will need bypass moduals for things like passlock and PATS or VATS.... or if you have the VATS system you can very easly put a resistor.. it is a cheap way to get round the system but will make your car easlyer to steal

THE only problem with xs cargo, or any other place for that matter is that with remote starters 9/10 times the install costs way more than the unit itself, so just save yourself the greif unless you plan on installing it yourself, and just get the whole deal( remote starter and install) from a shop that can back the product and the install. Just my two cents.

Hornet has one that is a starter ionly with no door lock features and it's a good unit for the money and it is made by D.E.I. so it's a quality product.
