Viper 204 using "pit stop" = no ac or heat

hello,

the viper alarm 5204 with smart start package... dealer installer...

during smart start or pit stop mode, once you get to the car after running for a while, there is no ac or heat,,,

here is what happens, you putll up to a gas station with ac blarring... you hit pit stop mode, and you can take the key out lock the car and it will continue to run...

go inside, come back out... unlock the car, and the ac is still blowing, but not cold air now...

is this normal?

one crazy thing, when the car is auto started or in pit stop mode, the RPM gauge does not register the car is running,, i think this is normal due to key bypass?

my guess is the viper unit is not properly hooked up and is not allowing the ac to kick on...

This is most likely a install problem. They probably didn't hook up you second accessory wire or second ignition wire as they're not needed to start the vehicle, but are neede to run A.C. and heat. Go back to the dealer if you haven't already.
