Viper Remote Start 4205V Install Questions...

To All,

New to these here forums, and I had a quick question that I hope someone can help with...

Looking to get the Viper 4205V remote start system for my 2012 Honda Accord (4dr)

Viper Value 2-Way Remote Start System

and when I am putting together a system, it is telling me that I also need one of these:

XPRESSKIT - Databus All-In-One Interface Module

XPRESSKIT Databus AllInOne Interface Module DBALL - Best Buy

So my question is, do I really this All in One module? Has anyone installed that Viper 4205V without the module? A lot of the reviews I see on viper's site make no mention of having to get that All in One module...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Your vehicle requires that module because your vehicle has what is called a chipped key. Basically your vehicles key needs to communicate to the cars brain that its there and its good to start, now to remotely start it obviously your key is not there so it needs to give that okay to start and that's what the module does.

The Idatalink ADS-AL-CA is a much better module, I have worked with both interfaces and the technology behind the IDatalink is superior.

Thanks... I'll see if the place that is doing the install has the Idatalink module.
