Can't post a reply in classifieds?

I've spent a lot of time browesing the site, I will admit, I'm a bit of a noob to the car audio scene, therefore I don't post much, as I don't have any valuable knowledge to share yet

However, I have been looking through the classifieds to find some new gear, I've got my eye on something, yet when I try to post a reply to find out some more information regarding the item, I get a message that pops up and says I don't have a high enough post count to access the classifieds features or something?

what gives? am I doing something wrong?

not at all.. due to spamming you can not reply in the classifieds unless you're a site contributor.

just send them a PM.

I think it was about 2 weeks ago where I wanted to post for a fellow member (and to tell potential buyers) that this was 1. A good buyer to trust and 2. Amazing equipment, since I heard it first hand ... I thought a little extra boost might help.

In reverse, if the seller was a spammer/crook, I would like fellow users to tell me and with the classifieds locked out, they don't have this privilege.
I've seen the ability for others to bump your thread taken away, but comments/questions are still allowed. I've never seen the classifieds locked.

And it still drives me crazy that a user can't edit/delete their own ad, and it's for that reason I would never sell what I want to on this site (very limited when I do) for that fact. I don't want what I have for sale (and it's price) available on the net forever.
Sorry, but I have no interest in that, for my own safety.

So just how many posts do i have to make to earn the right to send private messages and respond to classifieds etc.?

Ok, I see that 10 posts are required before i can send a PM. Guess i'd better start writing faster.

I do like the classifieds - great gear at great prices - just what a newbie like me craves as I start improving my car's stock JBL system.

Ya, I've been here for a while but don't post much. I have even bought and sold some things on here before, but now I can't PM someone for something I've been looking at. Guess I need to post more to buy them.

Its not very hard to post on this website. There are a lot of threads that are about your daily life and what you like most about stuff.

And yes you gotta contribute to the site to post in a classified. I find it very very usefull.

Have you posted up your system yet?
