hey now, when I was (going to be) your age, I had to walk ot the forum, uphill both ways, in 20 feet of snow on broken glass, and some days we had to spin the CPU fan by hand if it wasn't working. and we didn't even have shoes, we had to walk on our dads' worn out socks, with plastic bags over them, wearing our mom's old worn out pajamas!!

Jeeesus, wasn't expecting any response to this thread.

I think it should be called "Old School Farts"

To gain access, you have to scan and email in proof of age. That otta keep out all those young fast paced wipper snappers and their rice rockets and game-boys. Punks

Oh wow..you had it easy...I had to give the mouse a peice of cheese every day to run and spin the CPU in my TSR-80* for me look at a monochrome monitor for 5 minutes that says syntax error. And if that wasnt bad enough,to get the cheese for the mouse I had to walk 20 miles on my knees (because of the low overgrowth in the woods)wearing shorts because my family couldnt afford whole pants. Then when I got to the store,I had to clean the toilet of the storekeeper with my tongue to pay for the cheese because we had no money. And we didnt have money for big fancy cassettes,so we got stuck listening to 8 tracks..oh wait...I still do...never mind that part...

I tell ya...these young whipper-snappers today dont know how easy they have it..LOL..

*TSR-80=Pre-Commodore days..

TRS80 - what year was that out, I was playing on those Pet and Apple confusers in 1982. Funny thing, I can still program in basic if I was pressed to.

You were very "high tech" for '82 Rob.
We had to punch about 3inches of cards to program something stupid like the square root of a number or something like that in a college course in '80. Archaic.
My favorite computer at work in the later '80s was a "****"
