Thread titles in Classifieds

Thread titles in Classifieds
I wish that all thread titles in the classifieds sections would start with FS, FT, or WTB. This would make it much easier to differentiate between classified threads and regular discussion threads when browsing and searching the board.
Also, would it be too much to ask sellers to provide thread titles that actually describe the item for sale. Like "FS: PG Line Driver" instead of "You know you want it" or "Got Bass?"
Thanks for listening

The thread titles are a bit annoying.Only have seen a few people doing it. You can always search the classifieds witht the keyword of choice.

I completely agree about the content of that subject line though!

well seeing how my threads where singled out... i dissagree cus when some one posts a ad that they want to buy or sell some thing..... that is exactly what it is an ADVERTISEMENT and just like in the real world ads have to be catchy to catch someones eyes.. if some one WTB then it should be in the WANTED section if some one wants to FS some thing then it should be in the FORSALE section...

My argument for having FS/FT/WTB prefixed in the thread title is to make it easier to differentiate between classifieds and regular discussion threads when viewing search results (like say, new posts since your last visit).
This would improve the usablility of the site by making it easier to quickly browse the threads that interest you, as opposed to having to sift through lots of threads that may or may not concern you.
For example, a thread called "Xtant amps" in General SQ would interest me because I own one. A thread by the same title in Classifieds would not.
(Yes I know that there is a "forum" column in the search results, but having the thread title prefixed would still provide an improvement in usability and readability.)
Regarding the actual content of FS thread titles, splescort I didn't mean to single you out but please imagine what the FS section would look like if every thread were titled "you know you want it" or similar.

just think if you saw
FS Phoenix Gold Line Driver
splescort
FS Phoenix Gold Line Driver
bobbo
FS Phoenix Gold Line Driver
slim jim
FS Phoenix Gold Line Driver
mommy
FS CHEAP
daddy
now if you have never dealt with any of them and they all have 0 feed back which one would you click on???
al that i was trying to do was be different. which is the name of the game.. unless you drive a honda/cav/sunfire and you have the same body kit as every one else the point of the aftermarket is to be different from the normal and that is what i was trying to do...

IHMO non-descriptive thread titles like "CHEAP" and "you know you want it" only cheapen your listing. There are better ways to differentiate your listing. How about this instead:
FS: Phoenix Gold PLD-1 Line Driver Great Deal (GTA) *pics*
Anyhow that's just my opinion. Like I said before, it wasn't my intention to pick on you, good luck with the sale

This is a forum, not 2am TV. Noone that is a member of as many forums as me is going to read each and every thread some dude "catch phrased" instead of listing the actual item for sale. I have missed many items this way in fact. If im missing these.....so are others. Period.
Most ppl who are looking are looking "item specific" and will gloss right over your post, and its catchy phrases. Not to mention the fact that it will not show up in a simple title search.
Your stuff, sell however you please. This is not the real word, we are only concerned with the facts here.
