Breaking them in gently right now, but they sound good. The box just happens to be at the upper/mid size for sealed sub specs, and EXACTLY the correct size if I want to dig out the expanding foam and make it a ported box once again.

I suppose it sounds trite, but they do sound "punchy". I think they react quicker than the Kappa's (imagination? dunno, but I like them).

These are the first R/F subs I've owned and I like em.

I would recommend them without hesitation.

Wired them up to 4 ohms each and the 9.1 is seeing 2 ohms. Yes, at 2 ohms it is putting out a little more than the subs need, but gains are zero, boost (ugh) is zero and they sound just fine.

Thanks again!!

John

Thats what it boils down to really eh?

Shame we dont all have unlimited funds to try 10 different brands of subs and amps . What fun that would be.

The Kappa's I uninstalled were taking 450 RMS each (rated 350) and i have things dialed down somewhat for the RF's, but it really is quite a different sound. Maybe they just like the box better. We'll see after a week of low playing

Cheers

my funds is a poors man funds. its been 8 months since my last 5$ upgrade lmao. since i have been working at FS all of theyre subs just cant tickle my sweet spot like my massives do ( witch i got for free from my owing ex boss hahahaha) ive even got all my speakers for free haha the only thing i spent on truly is my deck and my monoblock. my 4 channel was a given one too.

RF i find is the better stuff that FS holds. witch does sound very nice but its not loud enough lol thats my sweet spot that i am missing. i would need 4 12" RF P2 to do the job :P

Looks like your enjoying protecting, lubricating and pounding your car with your new set of goodies!

Thanks for posting pics etc. It's great to see the prize in the hands of someone who really is appreciating it!

P.S. What are your plans for the kappas? I might be interested in buying depending on the specs and price . . .

Yes, as a matter of fact I really do appreciate it. The fact that CCA even holds contests like this is amazing, and to win, well, good grief, never expected that in a million years.

I will be using every last drop of earl (trust me) and the subs are already in, the alarm will be going in from Selective because I think its only proper they get some exposure from the donation (plus they are the experts, not me) and the certificates i used as stated above.

Even winning an LED cig lighter would be good. Its an LED cig lighter you didnt have before right? Call me old fashioned, but thats just the way I am.

The Infinity subs are Kappa 122.7 with the idiot switch (1 or 4 ohm) take 350 RMS and are in perfect condition BUT are not for sale unless you need them.

If you really need them, or want them for an upgrade or something, sure, np, we can work something out (think beer and a few bucks).

Cheers from a VERY happy camper!
