My 12 inch JL all of a sudden stops working every once and a while, and will not work unless i take it apart, play with the wires and check everything with a meter. It will work fine again for a while then stops, same thing again. I have 2 10 inch Kenwoods hooked up as well and they always work fine. what possibly could cause that?

Could be a broken wire.
Just out of curiosity, why are you running different brand/size of subs?

What are taking apart?

The sub out of the box or the wires off the box?

Just go through and inspect the subs and all the wiring for any breaks in the connection.
