Question 4 subs.. how many amps?

Hey, i am looking at purchasing 4 alpine type r amps but have some questions before doing so
The subs are 4 10 inch alpine type r

CEA-2006 Power Rating: 600 Watts
Power Range: 600 - 1800 Watts
RMS Power Handling: 600 Watts
Peak Power Handling: 1800 Watts

- do u buy 2 or 4 ohms
- how many amps should i run and how many watts per amp

If ur stuck on running all alpine then get 1 mrp2000 or 2 mrp 1000's. It depends on what your voice coil configuration is, and what the final impedence is. ALpine amps really dont like to play under 2ohms. So configure your coils to end up there. Then get atleast 500w to each sub

its much more efficient , if u get one big amp to do it all .. the amps have to be 100% matched if u run 2. What i mean by that is the gain and all other adjustments need to be equal. thats if its spl u are after. other then that.. just eye ball the settings.

I would go the dual 2 ohm route, then find a single nice big nasty amp to give those sub some jam. What kind of budget do you have for the amp and are you prepared to put the $ into the wiring to make it all operate properly.

I would get 4 of the Dual 4 Ohm subs, this way they can be wired nominally to 2 ohms at the amp. And for power? MRP-M2000.

Although, i dont think id ever go with 4 subs - i would personally go with 2 of the type-x over 4 of the type-r.

Look at getting the new Hifonics amps. They do rated power and are cheap. Look at getting around 2krms @ 1 ohm and purchase the four dual 2 ohm woofers.

Make sure your electrical is up to par and you should have a very loud daily setup
