4ohm running at 8ohm's?
Front's 4ohm Clif's running at 8ohm?
I had my car into Bestbuy today just to find out where I was shorting, and during the testing he noticed my front door speakers(2way Clif Design tx652's) were running at 8ohm's while the backs were fine running at about 4ohm each with a meter. All are 4ohm speakers. I didn't want him to do the fix as I wired them up myself originally and will be rewiring them to go to my newly installed amp.
What the heck did I do, swap +ve's and -ve's? Will that do it ? How do I check to make sure I've done it right when I rewire? I can tell you I haven't wired them in any type of sequence, so could the BestBuy guy have made a mistake?
I have noticed that ever since I put these Clif Design's in, they definetly have disappointed me as I thought I'd get much better sound out of them with more amperage going through them with my RF Deck instead of my old original deck, and am wondering if my amp will make them sound worse?

I don't have a DMM, but the BestBuy guy used one. He tested through the harness. I sat beside the guy. Could it be he mistested or could it be that I switched postive and negative around? I don't think that would give me an 8ohm reading though....they are still running off factory wire to the deck as I haven't rewired to the amp.
Nevertheless, this was a general interest question, I'll be rewiring to the amp next weekend an it won't matter then.

), do you have a DMM (Digital Multi-Meter)? If so, check to see what ohm they say the speakers are? Yep, those speakers should sound better on an amp
