You probably have a short somewhere "bad speaker"... But, first thing should be to check if everything properly connected(+12v, ground, remote). To test the speaker, unplug them all at the amp and try with only one at the time (easy with quick plug). Test each one and you will probably found the one that cause your amp to go into protect, from there try to find if it's the wiring or the actual speaker that's damage.

well if it is happening that quickly, it is most likely not an overheating or overload issue with the amp. as lpchouinard said, its most likely a short somewhere. as said before, with the pdx it will be nice and easy to check since it has the quick release terminals. so just inspect your connections and check for shorts!!

I have unplug all the speaker and the rca cable and the problem persist also when A PDX Amp goes in protection mode it should turn RED but for me i have just no light when its off and when its on i have the blue led and everything works fine but for a short period of time and the amp just goes off and wont turn back on till i let the car off for like 3 hours and then when i start the car back the amp turn on normally for a short period of time.. It seems the amp wont go down till i put my foot on the pedal and move the car

have you checked your REM wire? maybe it is something simple like that. could be a bad connection somewhere between your deck and the amp. ....they are only operable between a certain voltage range...but if it dropped enough your other amp should shut off as well.

if its not a huge hassle, try out the amp on another system maybe? you could at least determine if the problem is with the amp or your car.

Buy this: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/3/HouseHome/2/Electrical/ElectricalTesters/PRDOVR~0520060P/Mastercraft%2BDigital%2BMultimeter.jsp

If you already have a volt meter then test your remote wire first at you max set volume. If it shows voltage below 10 volts then you need to add a relay into the mix. If the voltage stays around 12 then you're good.

* Start with Channel 1 unplugg the (-) wire and turn your system back on. repeat these steps with ch2/3/4 - until you find the culprit.

If it's the speaker then you could have a couple things wrong. a short in your speaker wire or speaker shorting out.
