Battery Dying

Ok so i didn't start my car for a couple days, then i try to and the battery is drained. I presume this is because of my new stereo. How do i solve this problem?
Big 3?
Cap?
New Alt?
New Battery?

Thanks

When you turn your vehicle off, is your Amp(s)/HU still on? If so, it's a wiring problem.

See, if you park it outside, the cold plays a MAJOR factor into this. I say jump it, and start it daily if its outside! I have 2 batteries(both optima's) and I know if my car is outside for literally a day I have troubles strating it

Something must be draining the battery. I've had my car parked for over a week in sub 0 temps and it started fine.

wire your h/u to your ignition wire, that way when you turn the switch, your h/u will turn on

how old is the battery? if its a regular lead/acid battery they usually only go for 4-5 years... take it out and fully charge it and check the voltage with a multimeter, if its under 12.6 volts after that you probably need a new battery..

Take one of the battery terminals off, and do an amperage draw test to see if there is some kind of draw. Anything more than like half an amp draw should be investigated (make sure everything is off, including dome lights). I've had a few vehicles with weird draws like faulty clocks/onstar and whatnot

Make sure that your battery is clean. You can also test to see if there is voltage flowing on the casing, just place the two terminals of your multimeter on the battery casing (by each terminal, not touching the terminals) and see if your multimeter will read anything, if it does, you are leaking power. Also do a load test on the battery, see how many cranking amps it puts out. It should say on you battery what you should get, and then the Battery Load Tester will tell you what it is putting out.

for the load test you meant to say load it at half the cca or what is stated on the battery for a load test for 15 seconds and see if it drops below 9.6 volts (if it is a 12 volt battery), of coarse it has to be at least 75% charged before performing such a test .

if it is maintenance able you could check the specific gravity of the electrolyte as well with a refractometer .

if the battery is self discharging on the casing then i would clean it off and paint the top with some spray paint or battery sealant (with the cables attached)

you probably just need a new battery , but see if you can get it tested some were .

perhaps you are leaving your battery in such an discharged state that it wont start your vehicle after , check the voltage after shutting your car off after normal use
