Exclamation Front out vs. Rear out.

im not entirely sure wether or not there is a difference but do front and rear outputs have sound differences? for example if 4 of the same speakers (two front two rear) are hooked up to a 4 channel amplifier through front and rear rca's is there a difference in sound between the front and rear? it sounds as if mine are (i have rockford t162c's up front and alpine type s 5x7's in the rear) and it sounds as if my rear's dont have as much treble and clarity in them... it may just be the speakers but i would like to know. thanks!

im just concerned because i spent a bunch more money on new speakers for a new vehicle and i dont want to sacrifice crystal clear highs for my rear output. thanks again

Hard to get it to sound the same without using the same speakers..... Do you really need rears?

no thats fine i realize that but the sound is veryy different so if i was using all the same speakers would it sound the same or would it sound different... just asking because maybe front outs and rear outs have different sound settings?

I would say no. If you played pink noise through all 4 channels and recorded the "sound" it should match between all 4 channels as long as you used the same speaker.

Eg. I use both front and rear channels to control my 2 pair of front door comps.

Could it be a setting in your deck? I'm not to sure about your specific Alpine deck but some do funky things when you start using all the "artificial sound" settings....
