Heat
You know what im thinking, could the trunk just heat up alot more if i dynomated every single vent hole to the cabin of the car from the trunk?
Also there are 4 fuses on each amp, could one fuse maybe be for the amps fan?
And could the capacitor be causing a surge, causing the amps to overheat?

if the fans stopped working then they prolly burnt out and you could ethier have them replaced under warrany or if its not under warranty anymore then get an electronics store to replace the with some computer fans...
if the amp has working fans and enough air clerance then it should work fine

last I checked the longer you can keep your electronics cool for, the longer they will last... I personally enjoy the stereo on a nice cold winter day, just not the cold winter day... I had a small fan on my first deck, kept it nice and cool... my current deck (kenwood) gets really hot, even with the internal amp shut off... I'll pull out a cd after 5 mins of play and its really hot to the touch..
