Help with Alpine IVA D310 head unit problem

Hi there,

How's everyone doing? Good I hope. I'm new to this forum and hope I can get some help on the issue I'm having. My Alpine IVA D310 head unit is having intermittent problems. The controls on the faceplate will become unresponsive at times. The unit will be on and music will be playing but I won't be able to adjust the volume, turn the unit off and all other button controls don't work. I'll turn the volume *** and nothing happens. Usually I'll hear beeps as the volume goes up or down. Sometimes I'll turn the *** and no sound but after a few seconds I'll hear several beeps like it's catching up and then its working again. I also notice that when it's in that state where the controls are unresponsive I'll take the faceplate off and the unit is still on and playing music. When the unit is functioning properly it shuts off when the faceplate is taken off. The remote control is also unresponsive. I can see the red light flash on the unit when I press the controls on the remote but no response. Not sure how long it stays like that, sometimes it returns to normal after 10mins or so and sometimes longer. It'll be normal for days and then when I turn on the car one day it won't even turn on until I'm driving for , say, 10-15mins and then it'll turn itself on automatically. I tried resetting the unit a few times but it didn't help. I'm thinking maybe a loose connection or something internal with the unit. Can some expert please shed some light into this matter as it is getting annoying. Thanks.
