Post Help Finding the Right Amplifier

Hey guys, Ive been looking everywhere trying to find help, but no luck so far.

Recently, i got 2 ten inch kicker subs, already loaded in an enclosure for my birthday, specific link below.

http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/...59515ce519en02

It says it is rated at 600w peak, 300w rms @ 2 ohms

I am now looking for the correct amplifier to power these. I know very little about this kind of thing, so please recommend a suitable, and affordable amplifier.

Thanks, Kent

Whats your budget for an amplifier?

Your need a mono subwoofer amp that does 300 watts continuous rms + @ 2ohms

the subs are single 4ohm voice coil wired to 2ohm FINAL

Heres my suggestion for a great sounding amp at 250$ if your interested let me know!
Audison SR1D great compact size and will do 460 watts @ 2ohm

SR 1D Power Output specs
Load Imp. Mono
4 Ω 1x280 W
2 Ω 1x460 W
1 Ω 1x640 W

I could see spending about 300 dollars. Interesting suggestion.

What about something like this?

The Audison is a better amp.

I realize that is probably true, however, it would be extremely difficult to find one where I live. The precision acoustics would be much easier to buy. But is it going to be sufficient power?

Actually no offense to Johnny of course but that Alpine 500w would be a PERFECT match for your kickers; I had a 10" Kicker ported for over a year ran off that exact same amplifier @ 4ohm (300w, sub rated for 150w) and it was great, when I felt I needed more bass I tried out the dual kicker 10"s (same ones you have same box) but personally I didn't like them at all. Ridiculously powerful bass for the ratings but for the music I mainly listen to like metal and hard rock it just couldn't keep up with such a big port.. So I hope you listen to more hiphop/rap/dubstep sort of music bro :P

But yeah that Alpine M500 is an amazingly solid amp for the price, I'm using it now for my dual Rockford Fosgate P1's (150w/ea) and it's just awesome.

Realistically, that Alpine is a very solid unit. Currently using one and quite happy with it. Although, if you can nab the audison for a similar price I'd jump on that in a heart beat. Bought my amp for 100 bucks, so I really can't complain.
