hey i just bought a car, 2004 chrysler sebring LX 4DR. its green and a beast. its completely stock and i want to get it pumping. money is a bit tight but i want to start puting in one thing at a time and was wondering what you would recommend. i was thinking i should get a new deck in before anything then speakers,amp,subs etc.. any ideas? thanks.

btw im thinking about going to EHR east hamilton radio

 

Does it have an infinity sound system? if not, then just start with the head unit and front speakers

 

im not sure its stock. i figured they would be similar if their lx

 

I was checking out the product line up at EHR.
If I were you I'd save up my $$ to get stuff there.
High end stuff but its going to take some cash to get it done.
An Audison amp running a Mille is in the top ten 10 (IMO)

I'm sure they have cheaper end stuff but they don't advertise it on there web site, I wasn't trying to discourage you, just drooling over the equipment.

$1000 can get you into a damn fine cd player and speakers. Make sure you purchase the right equipment now for use with the system in the long run. Don't cut corners. Sacrifice instead of compromise. If it means that you have to leave out the rear speakers for now in order to get the bitchin front speakers, so be it. You can always add the rear speakers later on.

 

im going to go with kenwood deck and speakers. the deck is 350$ and speakers 400$

 

I'm not to sure what HU your looking at but just make sure it has 3 (5volt or higher) preouts on it. Its hard to get your system to live up to its potential with 2 volt preouts. If its possible try to get one with a USB port on it, the sound quality is better and you can use flash drives to store your music, no more CD roaming around the car, or skipping for that matter.
I'm personally not a fan of kenwood speakers, but I would do what the other guy said an put all that money into just the fronts. For $400.00 I would look at the Hertz Energy series 6.5 (seperates). I had Infinitys in my car (6.5's and 5.25's) and I upgraded to the Hertz line, same size and the sound quality they put out is awsome. I have them running off a DD S4 , with the gains only set to about half and they scream. Focal makes a great front end speaker and there about the same price.
Like the other guy said its better to have a really good set of fronts then average front and rears, you can deal without the rears for now trust me in the long run you will thank me (us)

If your going for SQ then when it comes to subs look into Digital Designs, FI, or RE, The 2500 series from DD and the BL series from FI are about half the price of a W7 and way cleaner sounding, I picked up my 2 2512's for less than 1 12w7 would have cost

 

true, well im not looking for something amazing i just want it to sound good so im going to shop around and look at prices/performance but thanks for the advice
