heratige amp poblem

Hi there I have a Lanzar heritage htg 244 amp(below)
http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=8132
Running this subwoofer i dont know of the brand(also see below)

My problem is that when the bass thumps loud it puts the amp into protect mode, the wiring is sufficient size and the ground is well earthed, the only thing i'm not sure of is how i wired the sub, it has 2 sets of terminals which i just bridged from the amp, poss to poss to poss and same with the neg.
What could be my problem here?
Thnaks in advance for your help.

Your amp is not stable to 2 ohms mono. It is a 2 channel amp. Either rewire the sub in series, one + to the other coils - and then use the left over + and - to go to the bridged terminal of the amp OR wire one coil of each sub to each channel on the amp. Ideally, do the series wiring.
