Typically an alternator for a Honda will be a Nippendenso (Denso).
A small case Denso can be rewound to about 140 amps max.

Normally a 150 amp and above IS NOT A DIRECT BOLT ON.

Most alternator builders will get their parts from Wagner Alternator Supply, so if it can be done, that's who I would contact to find out.

Yeha All the Nippendenso's are great reliable alternator's, PLus they make a few wicked high output ones, like 180amps Depending on your application like this one

And cheap if you ask me. Also can;t you get yours rewound?

well i dont mean like the bolt holes line up perfect. the ecu in my honda runs my car is what i have been told, so i was looking for one that will work. i have been told that unless you can fine the exact match you will need to run a second one because the ecu will regulate its output depending on power usage...

Typically what happens is the High Output Alt is too long, not an isue with bolts lining up.

On some Civics you have to move something to get it to fit.

On some Honda V6's the alt is on the valley and a high output alt simply will not fit because its too long. As a result you are stuck with the small case alt.
