I own a 2007 NISSAN 350Z HR model that comes standard with a BOSE audio system. In the centre storage locker above the the driveshaft tunnel there is a mystery plug/socket (see picture) on the end of a short coiled cable. It seems it's for connecting an external media player. Can anyone identity this plug by type, provide a diagram showing the pin-out connections and advise compatible player devices. I'm intending to play MP3 music files from a USB memory stick.
Also, can anyone advise if there is an English language option for the centre control console which is in native Japanese?
No idea on the plug sorry, not a auto bose fan,do like the home systems. Your gonna have to play with the setting in the menu on the car. Scroll through til something looks like language or similar. Had this happen on a nisson I was workin on in the shop years ago, somehow changed the language to another one. Took me almost a half hour to figure it out. Good luck.
