installed a new deck but ruined my speakers
so i was having a problem with the stock deck in my 98 mazda protege so i went out to canadian tire and picked up this: http://www.nextar.com/frontend/proddetail.asp?pn=NC990C&co=10000359 for 69$ on clearance. its brand new and looks really nice once installed.
it took me a while to figure out how to ge tit to work since i didnt have a wire harness. lol i was up in the car in 5 jackets until 1 am on sunday (it was mad cold) with my gas solder iron busy testing each wire to see what function it controls.
after a while i got it and it works sick with the mp3 player but all my speakkers are crackling and sound like there torn not to menshin the back speakers have broken connectors so there pritty much wired up with corking glue and tape.
what do i do> im cheap as so im only going to spend under 100$. any specific brand? like i want loud base so i don't mind getting a sub or something because the head unit has ablest 6 rca/ whatever connectors going to waste behind the stereo.
should i go to walmart> they have subs in closed sometimes for under 40$. how bad could they be?

i dont turn the base up at all. same goes for the treble. im wondering if its the equilizer (rock,pop...) settings are effecting the speakers. i haven't been able to figure out how to change the setting yet, because its far to cold right now to hop in the car and frig around with it.
has anyone had bad experiance with walmarts speakers? im talking about the subs that they sometimes have in the isle with 2 12" i think in a wooden enclosure for 40$. im wondering if that would take the stress of my regular speakers.
i guess tonight ill have to take out the deck and check to see if the connections for each speaker is wired with the correct polarity to the deck.
