I want to put a double din dvd/gps into a Lamborghini Gallardo 2004.
I'm told it has an Audi sound system. It has the regular VW/Audi double din cd/tape radio in it with the 4 euro key holes. The factory radio looks a bit wider then normal, wondering if there is a kit for it or do I fill it in myself.

As for the wiring, anyone know if i can use a VW/Audi aftermarket wiring harness or does it have to be rewired?
We did a porche of the same year. Most of the europian stuff has the same wiring no matter the car. The only issue that we had was the door speakers were actually subs and it was an amplified system. As for the mounting kit, it will have to be custom. There aren't enough people out there putting in double din's in their lambo's to manufacture a kit. Like somebody else said if you can afford a lambo or the gas to drive it you can afford a custom kit!

This guy doesn't really care, he just wants the tape/cd out and a double din screen put in. The stereo looks double din so a double din sleeve/cage would fit in and hold it no problem. but it looks wider so i would just have to fill the gaps, and yes it would probably look like *** but if I can make it decent this guy would be happy. I wouldn't attempt to do it if there wasn't at least a "cheesy install kit" to fill the gaps.

if you have basic fiberglass skills, it should be easy to make a mold to fit around the double din area and flow with the rest of the dash. i just wouldnt wanna make a mistake on such an expensive car.

there isn't a kit anything would have to be custom. Period.

it really sounds like this fellow "jenx" really should stop what hese doing before he destroys something, if you cant do it then the best thing yo can do would be to reffer the "client" to someone who can

The guy more than likely also has the $ to come after you if the job is not what he was expecting either (and after the fact that is what they all say....). Is it worth it to open a can of worms or are you better off letting someone else do the job who can do it properly?
