Mono vs. 2 channel amps

What's the difference between a mono and a two channel amp?
What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Which is the best for subwoofers?

Well, a mono amp has SEARCH, and a two channel amp has SEARCH. The mono amp is also alot more GOOGLE and will draw less SEARCH.

LOL ^^

I use a stereo amp for left door mid & tweet. another stereo amp for right door mid & tweet.
Another stereo amp bridged for rear left 6x9, another, bridged for right rear 6x9.
Then I have a stereo amp bridged for left Sub
And a Stereo amp bridged for Right sub.

Stereo separation is amazing.

I'd like to upgrade to 2 mono amps for left and right subs.....

Two channels is exactly as it sounds, 2 different speakers, mono is esentially single channel. However, a Mono can run more then 1 subwoofers as a Subwoofer is a Mono Speaker.

Generally 2 channels are for speakers, but may be used for subs, while mono are typically for subs only and not for speakers...

Monoblocks (Class D) have higher effeciency and output more power
Monoblocks are battery to be used with subwoofers
2/4 channel amps (Class A/B) usually have way less power and effeciency as they are rated and mostly used for speakers
i got 4 channel amp running 4 cheapers and 2 monoblock amps running subwoofers
but ya use google cuz alot of us lazy to type out words >.<

Just a note - not all mono amps are a high effeciency Class D, G, H, T etc - there are many Class AB Monoblocks out there too.. so if that is a concern, check.. As well sometimes those "high-effeciency" amps are not all that much better for every day listening and driving around anyways... especially in the way they sound.
