Question Multi-meter test!!!

Hi guys, just a quick question here. I just received my subs a couple of days ago and went about wiring them up and installing them in my box. Now they are wired like this:
(series/parallel) = 4 ohm load
Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel

Subs are RE Audio DVC @4 ohms

My question is can I hook up my meter to the + and - to check for a final ohm load? I am referring to the + & - that will go to my amp. It should read around 4 ohms correct?

Cheers, Loke

Yes. With the amp disconnected it will read a bit lower than 4 ohms, this is normal. Don't do it with the amp connected and never do it with the amp connected and playing.

ok, that is just what i have. It is reading about 3.5 to 3.7 ohms. And no I will not do either of the above mentioned. I just wanted to make sure of my connections and that I have a proper final ohm load. I don't want to screw up my new Memphis amp...
Thanks for the replies.
Cheers, Loke
