Need Help. Alternative to fuses in Distro Block

I have this fuses distro block, but I dont want to use fuses because the wires are going to be less then 6 inches to each amp, I just needed the distro part.

anwyays here are pics of what I want to do, I used like holed copper braid, 3 layers on each side to be correct, I'm sure it should be enough to pass current through and not be a problem..

Does anybody object, and have any other ideas for me, I just want to bypass the fuse part thats all.

if you have the fuses then use them... if not then use some 4ga or whatever wire size happens to come out of the block. with ring terminals to bridge the gap

Yea, I was thinking of using 4 gauge and having ring terminals. but this was just easier.. I guess I have to go hunting for some terminals around the usual spots around the house haha..

I also don't have any fuses that are near what I need, I would need a 140a and a 30 a, of which I only have 2 80a's and a 250 amp lol.

seems like a lot of work to not have a bus bar or a fuse or a ring terminal on a capacitor or an amp

Yea thats true..

Maybe i'll just put ring terminals and a bolt to hold all 3 wires together and tape it up lol.. seems to be the easiest way.. gatta buy some ring terminals now :-)

If you were going to to the trouble of bypassing them then why not use the overrated fuses. Use the 80A for the 30A and use the 250A for the 140A

because I was going to use the 250A for the front of the car..

Would a car parts store have some ANL fuses you think ?! I might go buy the right one for the front where the batt is, and use my overated ones as micardio said .. very good idea !

Actually get a cap and use it as a terminal block... it has been done before and it's bling-a-rrific
