I have this sub but one of the two "tinsel" lines is loose and the sub cuts in and out. Is it possible to fix this without damaging the integrity of the sub?

Where is the connection broken, at the terminals ?

Solder it back if that is the case...

Then the connection under the dust cap where the tinsel lead meets the coil has burned. In some cases that can be fixed without a recone, in other cases the sub will need to be reconed.

Send it to me and I will fix it for you.

The break is one tinsel lead on the outside on the cone between the cone and connection
