Pioneer dekc prob - scrackly audio/no display

Hey guys - I just have a quick question.

One day I had just turned on my car and switched from CD input to the bluetooth, when the display all of a sudden went black and the audio cut out.

The display doesn't work anymore, but the buttons work (switch between inputs and songs, etc). The output is really quiet and when I turn up the volume it crackles a bit.

It wasn't loud at all and I haven't cranked it in a looong time. Reading online, it seems that it -may- be a crappy ribbon cable. The deck is a DEH-P7900BT. I checked the cabling and everything seems good, no smell of burning either.

Any thoughts though? Also if anyone knows a repair shop in the Mississauga/Guelph/Brampton area, please let me know.

The local shop here has had my deck coming on to two weeks now, and since their guy is "sick", haven't been able to quote me a repair rate.

Thanks guys.
