Please help me decide what to get!

Alright, so I'm in the Marine Corps and I'm buying a cheap honda civic sedan '99 and I plan on spending quite a bit on my system because I feel like being belligerent. So I'm thinking like $1500+. I want 2 12" subs and thats basically all i know for sure. I don't know a lot about car audio so anything helps! Thanks.

location?

id suggest the hertz hx300 12" subs. very well priced and sound excellent while providing lots of output.

can get a pair for 600$

go with a 2 way front stage like a hertz hsk HI ENERGY
1000+ rms sub amp and a 2 or 4 channel amp for your fronts

in a civic this will be plenty.

then for head unit depending double din or single go with a well capable bluetooth usb aux time alignment eq optioned unit like a jvc 925bt arsenal

done. under 1500$

You have him spending $900 before amps and HU???

Don't need time alignment to be beligerant.
Just a couple of ported 12s and a 1000watts should do the trick... haha

my math does around 1050$ WITH HEAD UNIT. that leaves 450$ for a 2 channel and mono block

alpine mrp 1000 = 250$
2 channel for front stage = 200$

AND he could even just do a single 12" and cut the cost!

and how do you know if he needs time alignment or not?

This would actually be a very good set up other than the head unit. It's a piece of . One set of pre-outs, and no sub control. Jump to at least the CDE-136BT.
