I have a oz power matrix 15" right now which im thinking of selling because I bought a new car, and It has a custom fibreglass box which fits in the spare-tire well to fit a JL W3 D2 12".

Now im going more for the SQL side of things, my OZ does sound good but im installing top of the line focal component set and buying a top of the line alpine deck and I want more of a 'tighter' all around bass which I think the W3 would provide me with...correct? Plus the fact that the box is made for this sub...if I was going to keep the OZ I would modify the hole size to fit the 15" (I really like the look of this box and dont want to build another box to the specs of my OZ sub) and because the box isnt built to the specs of the OZ it wouldnt sound nearly as good...how do you think the W3 would sound in a box built to specs vs my OZ in a box not built to specs...I want more SQL like I mentioned, nothing amazing in the SQ world but I dont need my ears bleeding [img]smile.gif[/img]

What are your thoughts on this...

Also I got a CROSSFIRE BMF1000D if I bought a W3 could I still use this amp, just turn the gain way down? I dont really feel like selling/buying more amps.

How much power are you using?

 

Its a 1000RMS amp can i just turn down the gain, the box is made for a JL12W3 ported...its fairly large
