is this a possible task im trying to do?
i have a Head Unit Dual(XDVD1170) which has outputs for FR FL RR RL SUB and so on, i have a separate amp for the subs. my amp for the interior speakers is only a 2-channel amp Audiobahn(A4002J). do i have to buy a duplicate 2-channel amp to have proper sound quality or can i use a y cable from(FR to RR) & (FL to RL) for an over all outcome of Left and Right ??, please help. my 2 15l7's are beasting and i need more vocals in the truck for equilibrium. thank you

If the tweeter and 6.5 is not a component set with a passive crossover, then you may have to use bass blockers on the tweeter when connecting together with the 6.5 on the same chanel.
The 6x9 on the other 2 ch.
The 6x9 on the other 2 ch.

i understand that, and no they are not component, , kicker 6X9 DS693
tweeters are audiopipe ATX4060. bass blocker recommended..i have not yet bought the 6.5's but there going to be kicker.
. i need to know how to hook up the RCA cables. Or will i damage my head unit by connecting a Y cable from( FRONT LEFT to REAL LEFT) AND ( REAR RIGHT AND FRONT RIGHT)separate outputs? should i buy another 2 channel amp to make it 4 channels ? My amp only has a left and right input( 2-channel)

I retract my statement above, some how I was thinking you have a 4 ch amp, but you have a 2 ch amp, sorry about that.
Anyways, the better way to do it since you are using separates with out a passive crossover is to buy a 4 channel amp to run the 6.5's and tweeters for the front, you will need a y-splitter if the amp dosent have a 2 or 4 channel input switch.
Use the 2 ch amp you have now to run the 6x9's.

If you wanna run all 4 speakers on that amp, connect it to FL and FR on the deck RCA, then run both left speakers in parallel (creating a 2 ohm load) on the left channel, and two rights on the right. That's how I've been running 4 speakers on a 2ch in my car for years.
