Problems selling my sub...

Wrong forum I know, but I want proper opinions and not the trolls in the general forum.

I've been trying to sell my JL 10W1V2 sub, in the JL ported box, with e2150 amplifier for three months now. So far nobody really interested. I'm asking $450, but obviously that's too much.

What's a fair price for this? I really want to get it the hell out of my garage but I'm not giving it away either.

Somebody, please? I'm kind of frustrated that this hasn't moved yet and would like a second opinion.

To be honest you already know the answer (a little too much money)
very small market for what you're selling, not much bang for the buck, you're pretty much only going to sell it to someone who knows thats the exact combo they want.

I like the combo myself but don't need it....very nice sounding combo for a pick up or similar.

I'm thinking you'll be lucky to get $300 (I know its worth the 450 but...)

no magic answer my friend. Used car audio gear has very low re-sale value. I know first hand as I've tried to sell subs, amps, etc...that were nearly new, and received less than half of what I paid. I suggest you try to advertise it in other areas, such as buy and sell, Kijiji, and automobile forums (honda, nissan, mustangs etc...) Good luck!

you need to sell it separately, try ebay. Personally to me that sub is worth like $50 the box is a worthless waste of money and the amp like $75 when you compare it to the sweet stuff you can get online for low prices. Your only hope is either ebay or selling it to a noob who thinks JL audio is amazing and is only familiar with shop prices and not the proper price of used gear online. The only place you will find someone like that is locally. Sometimes audio shops have a board for advertising used gear maybe you can post it on there or in the tri-ad, or the local newspaper

IF you are going to sell separately ... Sell the box locally the cost of transport > than the cost of the box new! (almost anyway)

I put an ad in the bargain finder for next week, and I might try putting them up on e-bay too. We'll have to see. I know the amp will sell quick, but it's not the thing taking up all the room in my garage Thanks guys!
