Sounds like you may have let some of the music smoke out. Take it to a repair depot to get it recharged. Likely an $80-150 fix.

The other potential problem could be if you have a single pair of RCAs going to it and were using the built in 2ch/4ch selector switch and it got moved to 4ch.
