funny thing about caps, they all have the lowest ESR (2 points if you know that ESR stands for Equivalent series resistance) because there is only 1 factory in the world set up to make a 1f car audio capacitor...

oh, and you can get them cheaper at XS cargo and princess auto.

another tidbit of information: the "Monster cap" digital tops are made by rockford... there's a little white sticker on the pcb, and if you peel it off it says "Rockford corp." or something.

Yea, both my caps are no name brand, but different cases and the displays and pcb's are exactly the same.

Has that always been true? Brax used to claim to make their own, of course it could have been made for them to their specs.

I've never verified it, but I've also read that those digital tops add so much ESR they effectively make the cap useless.

2 cars ago i had a pg 1.0f cap. It worked. Never seen the newer ones in canada.
Didn't you read that it doesn't matter who/where you buy, it's the same manuacturer. Spend more money for the monster if it makes you feel better.

I'll vote for dynamat extreme, just because thats what i got and it works.

Brownbread is good cheap deadening.

If you're spending more money I like hushmat.

Really there are a lot of good products out there and I think it comes down to cost in most cases.
