Just today it started cutting from regular volume to really loud, and whenever it got loud there was background static coming through the speaker aswell... i havent had a chance to check anything, but i will start tomorrow, any advice from anyone??? whats goin on?

thanx...

Its between the deck, amp and passive crossovers, bypass the deck with a walkman on it if it stopped its the deck.If still does it then take off the JL`s and use something you can just set in the car and see(if stops its the crossovers, common on over powered or just plain bad crossovers),If still does it its the amp ready to take a dump.
