sub wiring

been out of the car audio scean for a while now and have a couple questions.

say I have 2 dual 4 ohm subs. any problem in wireing sub A in parrallel(thus 2ohm) and sub B in series(thus 8 ohms). then wiring the two subs together in parrallel, giving me around 1.5 ish ohm final load on the amp.(trying to do this mentaly, dont know where my calculator is) so anyone know of any problems doing this?

thanks

shouldnt it actually be higher. like 1.6 ish
the only down side is that the second sub will sound different. i tried this with my 2 10's. wired the dvc subs 2 ohms each channel of my amp, hit really hard and really clean, then tried the double 8 ohm bridged parallel to 4 ohm's, and it was weak . didnt like it at all. huge sound difference. excursion went up, way up, but it wasent as hard hitting or clean.

care to explain why they are goning to sound "different"? guess I should have mentiond that im using a mono amp. not a 2 channel.

Like I said, 1.5 ISH. not going to get into exacts. close enough.

what im thinking of doing is wiring 2 10" type R's to my T3-1000D. now the subs are dual 4 ohm. I could run them in parrallel and then in series with each other giving the amp a 4 ohm load. but I would like to wire down to 2 ohm. now I know, I know. just return the dual 4's for dual 2's. but I cant. these were a year end special. plus I only payed $20 each :P. so if I wired the way I said, I would get 1.5 ish and be crossing my fingers that my amp doesnt burn up. I KNOW this thing wont run 1 ohm(tried that with negitive results...)

any experienced ppl want to chime in?

You'll end up with 4/5 of your power on one sub and 1/5 of your power on the other. Not a good idea, and really really bad if they're in the same box.
