Suggestions on my setup!

Heyo!

Recently one of my 15" Eclispe blew (some car audio guy said it might be the coil and it's not worth fixing)

So, what I was wondering is what subs would you recommend that will be as loud/louder then the ones I had? I also want long lasting subs, because those ones lasted me 7 years ish. Price isn't too big of a concern. And also one of my friends has a 2600 Hifonics Brutus amp(he said something like its rated 2600 not sure what that means), he said he'd sell it to me for cheap ($200 it's unused) Is that worth it? is this a good amp? and what type of box should I have? Should it be ported? Should i use that amp or the amp i currently have (pic below) or should i just buy a new amp overall?

Some car audio people that i know recommended these subs

Orion hcca 15" (I can buy new for $200)

SEX SERIES on http://reaudio.com/specs.html#sp_sxx

Sonance Series http://rdaudio.net/products/sub-woofers/sonance-series

and different guy recommended

Fi BTL 15"
and
XXX Series from http://reaudio.com/specs.html#sp_sxx

What do you guys recommend?
Also do you know a good website to buy these brand new?

Keep your current amp, the fi subs are great! And ported if you like bassier music like rap, rock more sealed would suffice.

Alright, And why do you think i should keep my current amp? is that other one not as good? And the fi subs will be as loud and as durable as my eclipses?
thanks man.

The Rockfords are a solid sounding amp, produce clean power as apposed to the hifonics, the hifonics are a good amp as well. However I think that the rockford would be best in the long run,
The FI subs are great sounding subs, probably be louder and more durable then eclipses(esp. the line you have)

Alright thanks man, one more question, If i'm going to buy these subs from https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154d0aa980e9339/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0010_BTL/0060_N2/product_overview.shopscript

What sub / options should I get for them? these are going to be my babies! haha.

oh and, I regularly drive far distances, and I keep my music bumpin the whole way, I don't to wear out my new subs fast, Is this a problem? or are they made to work for up to 3 hours pounding? lol

thanks a ton again!

If it cant take daily abuse, then its not worth the money! when I have subs in m yvehicles, they take the abuse daily and such.

Alright so these options would be good?

I just did everything that adds money to them lol

And are these the 15" subs that i should buy? they seem to have quite a few options, to be honest i can't even find out where it says what size these are?

But for "Ohm:" should I have "dual 1" or "dual 2"
and "Universal" I can choose "yes" or "no"

Also for "daily or SPL" I should choose daily because I will be using them daily? just double checking!

I've looked up what they mean, just want to double check with you, also my current box is sealed, I can just take my old Eclipses out and put these in with out changing anything right? so I don't even need to go to a stereo shop?

How long of a break in period do you think I'll be needing?
Also my deck is a Kenwood KVT-524DVD and with my eclipses i put the sub level at -7 and then I have the little **** that comes off my amp that i can turn up or down, whats the max I would want to run these once they are broken in? I really don't want to blow them but i also don't know what the limitations are on subs at all =(

Thanks a ton man, you've been a great help. Wish i could +rep you or something

N218, thats an 18" sub, look for N215....u will want dual 1's if ur amp is 1 ohm stable and dual 2's if its 2 ohm stable(i didnt look it up because im lazy)

You want it set at daily, and universal, prob be ok either way, i think its for spl/daily, but im not 100%.

I would stronly recomend a ported box with those woofers, but sealed will work. the wiring may not be as straight forward as your old ones, but you will be able to do it yourself for sure.

Yeah i just noticed and changed the picture, thanks lol. I've googled my amp and since i'm not car audio savvy it's kind of hard to figure out if its 1 or 2 ohms, so many people say different things.

another thing i just noticed is on my amp the 4 cords (2 from each sub) are wrapped together and put in the same + for positive and - for negative, I edited this picture to show what i mean, and when it gets lighter out i'll go take a picture to show you. Why would they do this? should i keep it like this for my new Fi's?
